We also use cookies on our website. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored on the website visitor’s browser.
We use so-called ‘session cookies’. Such cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit to the website. Other cookies are saved on your end device until you delete them.
Cookies are used for the security of this website, to gauge system effectiveness and to ensure an optimal user experience.
You can configure cookies on your end device using your browser settings, i.e. you can prevent cookies being stored in your browser by restricting or deactivating the storage and reading of cookies.
11.2 Google services
We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Fonts. These services are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use Google Analytics to gauge and analyse use of our online presence on the basis of a pseudonymous user identification number. This identification number does not contain any unique data, such as names or email addresses. It is used to assign analysis information to an end device, in order to determine what content a user has accessed in the course of one or more usage processes, which search terms they have used, what they have re-accessed or how they have interacted with our online presence. The time of use and duration are also stored, as well as the user sources that link to our online presence and technical aspects of their end devices and browsers. Pseudonymous user profiles are created with information from the use of different devices, which may involve the use of cookies. Google Analytics does not log or store any individual IP addresses for users in Europe. However, Google Analytics does provide basic geographic location data by deriving the following metadata from IP addresses. If Google Analytics gathers measurement data, all IP queries are performed on EU-based servers before such data is transmitted to Analytics servers for processing.
Google Tag Manager is a solution we use to manage so-called website tags via an interface, enabling us to integrate other services into our online presence. Tag Manager does not create any user profiles or store any cookies. Google only has access to users’ IP addresses, which is necessary to run Google Tag Manager.
We use Google Fonts to display text and symbols. Users’ IP addresses are shared with Google so that fonts can be displayed in users’ browsers. The data may be processed on a Google server in the USA.
You can find detailed information and the privacy policies for Google services here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
11.3 Social networks (social media)
We maintain an online presence on social networks to communicate with active users and to offer information about us and our services.
You can access the various social media platforms via links from our website. You can find detailed information and the privacy policies for the various platforms as follows:

11.4 Newsletter
To send our newsletter we use the services of Café Europe. Nachrichtenagentur AG, Metzggasse 14, CH-8400 Winterthur. We use the SendGrid service of Twilio Inc., 101 Spear Street, 5th Floor, San Francisco, California, 94105, USA.
You have to provide your email address and your first name or a pseudonym to subscribe to the newsletter, so that we can communicate with you directly. Subscription is via a double opt-in process. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to info@be-advanced.ch.
The emails are sent with graphics that allow for individual analysis, e.g. delivery, opening and click rates. Emails also contain links that allow for personal analysis. Such analyses are used to ensure the quality of the newsletter and to improve how we address users’ interests.
The data is stored in particular, but not exclusively, in the USA. This third-country transfer is based on Twilio’s binding corporate rules. Twilio is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
You can find detailed information and the privacy policy here: https://www.twilio.com/en-us/legal/privacy.
11.5 Third-party services
We link to various third-party services from our website, e.g. job vacancies or events. The data protection regulations of the relevant third parties apply in each case.
Third parties can register job vacancies and events for direct publication on the website. We process the data you provide for the purpose of publishing a job vacancy or an event.
